A message from the Group Policy team, inviting you to provide your feedback on how you use GP in Windows Vista:

The Microsoft Group Policy team would like to hear from you!  Please take a few minutes and complete the survey on how you use Group Policy to help Microsoft enhance the manageability Group Policy provides to your organization.  The survey can be found here and is completely anonymous.  The survey will remain open through Friday, September 28, 2007.  Thank you in advance for your time and input!

Why did they waited so long?

Microsoft aquired DesktopStandard some time ago.

Let's have a hope that the Vista SP1 and the Server 2008 will bring some fresh ideas and not for the software assurance customers, only.

All I've used Group Policy for is to enable the Everyone group to apply to anonymous Microsoft File and Printer Sharing clients.

Since I'm the only user of my computer (apart from sharing some files over the network of course) there's really little point in me doing much more with Group Policy.

I do not want a GPO on my stand alone!  Can't we find a better way to get along?
